Beach Boys hits get a classical spin in orchestral collaboration

LONDON (Reuters) – The undying California sounds of the Seaside Boys had been given a brand new spin because of Britain’s Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

The orchestra recorded preparations of 17 of the Seaside Boys best-known hits, together with “Excellent Vibrations,” “California Women” and “Amusing, Amusing, Amusing,” and matched them with the unique vocal performances for a brand new album “The Seaside Boys with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.”

The album is the primary collaboration between the influential band, which discovered world status within the 1960s with songs that captured California’s fun-loving seaside tradition, and a complete orchestra.

The album, recorded at London’s Abbey Highway Studios with the blessing of the 4 last contributors of the Seaside Boys, used to be launched on June eight.

Seaside Boys singer Bruce Johnston stated the album used to be “like a present from heaven.”

“The pretty factor is that they (manufacturers Don Reedman and Nick Patrick) did all of the paintings. We’d already carried out ours years in the past as a result of they’re all of the unique vocal performances,” Johnston informed Reuters tv in an interview on Wednesday.
