Electric eels work together to zap prey

Douglas Bastos, from the Nationwide Centre for Amazonian analysis in Manaus, Brazil, filmed the behaviour – taking pictures the instant of the collective electrical strike. Small fish, referred to as tetras, are the objective of the assault; they fly into the air and land shocked and immobile at the water.
