Why the Herero people's special dress is worn with pride in Namibia

Namibia used to be a German colony for simply over a century and within the early 1900s the Herero and the Nama other folks rose up towards the Germans with tragic penalties.

Some 65,000 contributors of the Herero tribe had been killed through German troops.

Yearly the Herero other folks commemorate those who died in combat with a unique rite. And the ladies put on a unique get dressed which is particular to Herero tradition.

BBC Africa’s youngsters’s programme What’s New? met Ngutjiua, a tender Herero lady in Namibia who defined the importance of the get dressed.
